"Country Roads" by Lee Martin now published.

My first book is now published and printed. Much learning and information was gained with this first effort at self publishing. My thanks to those who checked the preview and suggested changes.
Pleased that it is listed at Amazon in less than two weeks.
https://www.createspace.com/3354330 is my Internet sales store.
More images are available for viewing at our web site www.SandyCreekArts.com
Please stop in and enjoy them.
Have already started "Country Roads II" featuring Daviess County Indiana. It will be printed in color with points of interest from our county. A meager amount of history with our sights and scenes.
The Open House at T C Singleton Round Barn was a huge success. Over 600 visitors were greeted by the family and treated to an up close view of the interior and its many design features. The families deserve a great pat on the back for their efforts and hospitality.
Many long hours were involved in this 100th birthday party.
Penny and I appreciate the many Friends and Family that visited our photograph exhibit and stopped to visit. The large photographs are now exhibited at the Daviess County Museum. The greeting cards and magnets of the Barn are also on sale in the Museum Gift Shop.

This has been a fun project in which to participate. The Cardinal is from our backyard last winter.

The Turtles Are Done and Ready for the Indiana National Guard Youth Camp

This is the sixth year that I have scroll sawn small turtle blanks (6" x 8") for the National Guard Youth Camp.

The Camp is for the youth of the National Guard members. They paint and decorate the turtles in preparation for the Annual Turtle races.. A hole has been drilled at the top (Head) of the turtle for a string to pass thru. One end of the string is tied to a start point about 25 ft away and the racer holds the other end. By pulling on the string the turtle flops its way to the racer.
Of course several racers compete at one time so the action is competitive and fun.

250 turtles were drawn and sawed this year. Glad to do my part for the kids.
